NYFW - Ninh Nguyen Collection

On Feb 11, I had the privilege to work the launch of a highly anticipated self-titled clothing line, NINH, by Ninh Nguyen of New York. Even before seeing the clothes, meeting the models, watching the dressers and make-up artists pull everything together, I knew it was going to be good. The venue was a sprawling, bright, white, 10,000 sq ft photography studio located in the notorious meatpacking district with ceiling height windows overlooking the Hudson River. ( My new home!!! Just fell in love with it ). We ran into so many familiar faces and friends. I had an amazing time!

The make-up look was, think "vampire" all the gorgeous male models had their foundation 1 shade lighter than their natural face colour. We kept it a dewy look, so liquid foundation and barely set it. We used some loose powder under the eyes and around certain areas to avoid creasing. Over all, we wanted to keep that fresh glow-ey pale skin. We applied a smokey either brown or gray on the male models (depending on the skin tone) some contour in a shade 2 times darker than their owns and some lip balm.

Ninh had make-up artist from all over, a couple of the artist came from Los Angeles, Washington, New York and Toronto. We were all working under key artist of renowned NY Make-up Artist - Alex. All the make-up was provided by Emani Minerals which they left us a generous amount of make-up to take home ( New Post on that!)
